Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Perch (“Perch,” “we,” “us”) provides a software platform that lets operators and agencies (our “Customers”) create AI-generated landing pages, capture leads, and manage a lightweight CRM and client portal. This policy explains how we handle personal information across our marketing site, the operator application, and the pages we host.
2. The two roles we play
How we treat personal information depends on whose data it is:
- As a controller — for information about our Customers and their team members (account, billing, and support data), and for visitors to our marketing site.
- As a processor — for the lead and contact information that our Customers collect from their own audiences through pages hosted on Perch (“Lead Data”). Our Customer is the controller of that Lead Data; we process it on their behalf and under their instructions.
3. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email, company name, and password credentials when a Customer signs up.
- Lead Data: the fields an end user submits through a Customer’s lead-capture form (typically name, email, phone, company, and message), together with the page that captured them and first-touch attribution (UTM parameters and referrer).
- Usage and device data: page views, IP-derived information (stored hashed), browser/user-agent, and basic analytics needed to operate and secure the service.
- Communications: messages you send us, including access requests and support inquiries.
4. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and secure the service.
- To attribute leads to the pages that captured them and surface analytics to the responsible Customer.
- To communicate about your account, security, and support.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use Lead Data for our own marketing.
5. Sharing and subprocessors
We share information with service providers who help us run Perch — for example, cloud hosting and database infrastructure, authentication, and transactional email delivery. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights and users.
6. Data retention
We retain account information for as long as an account is active and as needed to meet legal and operational requirements. Lead Data is retained on behalf of the controlling Customer and is deleted or returned in accordance with their instructions or upon termination of their account.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to data portability. Because much of the data on Perch is controlled by our Customers, requests concerning Lead Data are typically directed to the relevant Customer; we will assist them in responding.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit, access controls, and signed, expiring URLs for stored documents. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice.
