Getting started

Create and publish your first page

From a short business brief to a live, lead-capturing landing page — templates, AI generation, editing, and publishing.

Every page in Perch belongs to a company — one of the clients you run pages for — and starts from a short written brief. You describe the business and the offer, Perch generates a complete draft, and you edit and publish from there. No blank canvas, no drag-and-drop.

Publishing a page, start to finish

  1. 1

    Start a new page

Go to Pages → New page. Pick the company the page is for — or create one on the spot if this is a new client. The company matters: every lead the page captures is attributed to it, and it’s what the client sees in their portal.

  2. 2

    Choose a template

Templates shape the structure and tone of the generated page:

    • Local service — trades and home services with a strong quote-request push
    • Professional services — credibility-first layout for firms and consultants
    • Booking — built around getting an appointment on the calendar
    • Promo — a single time-boxed offer or campaign
    • Real estate — listings and agent lead capture
    • Capital raise — investor-facing opportunity pages
    • Blank canvas — minimal structure when you want the brief to do all the steering
  3. 3

    Write the brief

The brief is plain text (Markdown is fine, up to 8,000 characters). The more concrete it is, the better the draft. Good briefs cover: what the business does, the service area, the specific offer or hook, who the ideal customer is, proof points (years in business, reviews, guarantees), and the tone you want.

  4. 4

    Generate

Perch drafts the entire page — hero, intro, features, how-it-works, testimonials, FAQ, and call-to-action sections — from your brief and template. Generation usually takes under a minute.

  5. 5

    Review and edit

Every section of the draft is editable. This is also where you configure the lead form: which fields to show (name, email, phone, company, message), which are required, custom labels, the button text, the success message, and an optional redirect after submission.

  6. 6

    Publish

Hit Publish and the page goes live at your workspace address, e.g. acme.perchpages.com/p/spring-roofing-x7k2q1. The address is generated from the page’s headline and never changes afterwards, so it’s always safe to put in ads and emails.

After it’s live

  • Edits don’t go live immediately. Changes to a published page are saved as pending changes; the live page updates only when you publish again. Perch snapshots your last five published versions.
  • Regenerate stays available. If the draft misses the mark, adjust the brief and regenerate rather than rewriting section by section.
  • Archiving takes a page down instantly. Visitors get a not-found page, but every captured lead and all analytics stay in your workspace.

Leads are attributed automatically

Every form submission lands in your Leads list already tagged with the page that captured it, the capture time, and any UTM parameters on the visitor’s URL — nothing to configure. How lead attribution works
